Cecil Dripps, 85, of South Beaver Township, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in Carrollton, TX.
Born Jan. 17, 1925 in North Sewickley Township, he was the son of the late James and Sarah Ann Davidson Dripps. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II in the European Theater. He had retired from the former Hydril Company where he had been a crane operator. He loved country music and had played in several bands in the county at the former Rialto Theater.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Doris Senior Dripps, and four brothers, Lloyd and Earl Dripps, and Clarence and Edward Price.
He is survived by a son Jeff Dripps, Carrollton, TX, a grandson, Ian Watauga, TX, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Rosetta Dripps, Midland, Wilbert and Gloria Dripps, Zephyr Hills, FL.
Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801-4th Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
Private interment in Concord Cemetery, North Sewickley Township.
The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. to conduct military rites.
