Donald O. "Dutch" Hage, 85, of Chippewa Township, died Wednesday, December 9, 2009.

Born in Beaver Falls on April 30, 1924, he was a son of the late Oscar H. and Edna McNees Hage. He retired in December 1985 from the Babcock & Wilcox Tubular Products, East Works, after 43 years of service. He was a member of the College Hill United Methodist Church, since 1924, the Masonic Parian Lodge #662 F&AM of Beaver Falls, the New Castle Consistory, Syria Temple, Pittsburgh, the Beaver County Caravan #18, BPO Elks #348, Beaver Falls and the American Legion Post 19, New Brighton. He was a World War II veteran of the US. Army, serving with the 695th Armored Field Artillery Battalion and the 90th Infantry Division in the European Theater.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years, Doris T. Strausser Hage, in June 1992; a brother, George L. Hage, and brother-in-laws, James Black, Conrad Telford and David Strausser.

He is survived by three sisters and a brother-in-law, Glenda Black, Beaver; Thelma Jean and Willis Weagly, North Carolina, and Edna May Telford, Beaver Falls; sister-in-law, Dorothy Hage, Chippewa Township, and numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hilland kunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with his minister, Pastor Greg Cox, officiating.

Private interment will be in Sylvania Hills Cemetery, Daugherty Township.

The Beaver County Special Unit will conduct full military honors Saturday at 10:45 a.m. in the funeral home.
