

Dorothy M. Oakley, 89, of Villa St. Joseph, formerly of Beaver Falls, died Saturday, May 22, 2010.
Born June 23, 1920 in Beaver, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Freda Neal Oakley. She graduated from Beaver Falls High School, Class of 1939, and was the driving force behind the 1939 Class Reunion Committee.
Dottie had been employed as a bookkeeper at the former Ingram-Richardson Company, Jet Motor Lines, Gross Furniture Store, Beaver Falls Candy & Cigar Company, Hahn Auto Sales, D & D Rebuilding, and Ferguson Transportation. She was also very involved in the family business called the Corner Market on Blackhawk Road in Chippewa. After her retirement, she volunteered in the coffee shop at the Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by two very close friends, Anna Pisano Wagner and Ruth Hollander.
She is survived by her lifelong friends, Elaine Bango Oravitz and Kathleen Patterson Lowry, and several cousins in Butler, and New Castle, and Clearwater, FL.
There was no public visitation.
Private interment in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
