Drew R. Burkhead, 36, of Fort Collins, Colorado and formerly of College Hill, died Friday July 3, 2009 in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Born March 18, 1973 in Sewickley, was the son of Ann  E. ( Cardillicchio) Burkhead and the late Joseph P. Burkhead , 1989.

Drew was a US Army Veteran having served in Iraq & Afghanistan and was currently in the Army Reserves; was a graduate of Geneva College and was enrolled in graduate school in Colorado.  He was the owner of a web development business, a member of Faith E. Free Church in Fort Collins, Colorado; enjoyed robotics, motorcycles, and spending time with his large extended family.

In addition to his mother he is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Casey & Kathleen Burkhead, College Hill; and Benjamin & Jenifier ; two nephews Layne & Caden Burkhead and a niece Maia Burkhead; his fraternal grandfather, Robert Haviland, Baltimore, Maryland;  and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the College Hill Reformed Presbyterian Church, 3217 College Avenue, Beaver Falls, with Pastor Titus Martin officiating.

Members of the Veteran’s Honor Guard will meet at the church at 10:30AM to conduct full military honors.
