Dr. William E. Mason

Dr. William E. Mason, 90, of Beaver Falls, died Friday, March 23, 2007, in the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.


Born May 20, 1916, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late William Ebbert and Anna Iveston Mason. He was a member and a trustee of the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Beaver Falls. He had graduated from Peabody High School in Pittsburgh and had done his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh. He had been a chiropractor from 1944 until his retirement in 1995 in both Beaver Falls and New Brighton. He had taken additional courses at the Universal Chiropractic College in Pittsburgh and the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago. He was a member of the Beaver County Chiropractic Society, the Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association, the American Chiropractic Association, and the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research. He was a Mason and had been a member of the Parian Lodge 662 in Beaver Falls for 55 years. Dr. Mason was also a member of the Fort MacIntosh Club, a past president of the Easter Seal Society, the Beaver Falls PTA and was an avid golfer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dr. Grace E. Mason, on August 7, 1995.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Billie G. and Russell Fink, Patterson Township; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Richard D. and Patricia Mason, North Sewickley Township; Scott H. and Cherie Mason, South Beaver Township, and Curtis and Mary Mason, Mathews, Va.; seven grandchildren, Ryan and his wife Amanda Fink, Kristen Fink and her fiancé Arne Garlick, Joel and his wife Sara Mason, Jolene Mason, Gregory Mason and his fiancée Sheria Carll, and Adam and Erik Mason, and a special friend, Dorothy Brooks, Chippewa Township.

Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunsel man.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Dr. Paul Holland officiating.

Private interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.
