Edna Bess Rosenberg Greenblatt, 93, of Chippewa Township, died Friday, October 1, 2010 in the Franciscan Manor.

      Born April 8, 1917 in Freedom, she was the daughter of the late Eli and Rebecca Balter Rosenberg.   She had been a member of the former United Jewish Community of Beaver Valley, Hadassah, and the Ladies Auxiliary to the UJC.  She was a Registered Nurse and had graduated from West Penn Hospital School of Nursing.  Edna had been an instructor at several hospitals in the Pittsburgh area.  She had been affiliated with the Medical Center for many years and had been on their foundation board.

              In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Greenblatt on July 5, 1996, a sister Esther Elsant and her brother-in-law, Rabbi B. Joseph Elsant.

       She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Deana Greenblatt, Chicago, Illinois, a sister Ann Farkas, New Jersey, and two very close and dear friends, Wayne and Lillian Mittner, Chippewa Township.

        Friends will be received Sunday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at noon in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801-4th Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, with Rabbi Martin Shorr officiating.          

Interment will follow in Agudath Achim Cemetery, Patterson Township.
