Esther E. “Butcher” Tate, 87, of Beaver Falls, died Monday, December 27, 2010 in Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born Jan. 16, 1923 in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth Butcher. She was a homemaker and a member of the College Hill Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Harker on Nov. 27, 2008, and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Ellen Butcher, Rochester, Thomas and Donna Tate, Ellwood City, Donald and Hollis Tate, Beaver Falls, Russell and Ruth Tate, Koppel, a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Robert Sedgwick, Wampum, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, a sister Margaret Minnitte, Beaver Falls, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 until 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801-4th Ave. College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. with her pastor, Rev. Gary Smith officiating.
Private burial in the Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery, New Galilee.
