Flora B. Shaw, 93, of Beaver Falls, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 10, 2010 in the Providence Care Center.
  Born Jan. 4, 1917 in Patterson Heights, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Stella Wilds Brown.  She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.  Before her retirement she had been employed for the Big Beaver Falls Area School District as manager of the cafeteria and as a custodian. She had also been employed at the former Curtis-Wright propeller plant in Vanport, Benson’s Department Store and BG Windows.
         Flora loved her Lord and shared her faith to friends and family and taught Sunday school.  She loved to decorate her home, especially wallpapering. She enjoyed gardening and sharing her life with her family.
         Flora loved her family and is survived by her husband, Herman L. Frederick, Beaver Falls,  a son and his companion, Thomas “Tim” Shaw and Linda Savilinski, Patterson Township, two daughters and a son-in-law, Janice and James Tanner, New Brighton, Janette Russell, North Sewickley Township, her grandchildren and their spouses, Dan Russell, Debbie Teets, Tim and Pam Russell, Beth and Ron Bender, Lora Edmonds, David and Amy Shaw, Jodi and Kevin Wagner, and Jim and Eve Tanner, 15 great-grandchildren, four sisters and a brother-in-law, Naomi Elsbury, Eva Cusick, Anna Zahn, Estelle “Toots” and Leroy Measel, four brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Beulah Brown, Vern and Shirley Brown, Herbert and Jean Brown, Pete and Georgie Brown, four sisters-in-law, Barb Brown, Sarah Jane Brown, Marian Shuler, Hazel Mannion.and several nieces and nephews.
         In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Thomas D. Shaw in 1987, two brothers, Jack and William Brown, a son-in-law Robert Russell, and four brothers-in-law, William Allison, Harold Zahn, Edward Cusick, and Frank Elsbury.
    As per Flora’s wishes, she will be cremated.  
Private interment in Concord Cemetery.
      A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 1 p.m. in the First Assembly of God Church, 1317 Darlington Road, Patterson Township with her pastor, Rev. Paul D. Poole officiating.
      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, if desired, to the First Assembly of God, 1317 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
