Frank B. Ursida, 81, of Beaver Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Mon., Dec. 28, 2009, after an extended illness.
Born May 27, 1928 in Salamanca, NY, he was a son of the late Guisseppe and Marianna (Licatese) Ursida.
He was a member of St. Philomena Parish, where he was involved in numerous activities and retired from Armstrong World Industries, Beaver Falls. He had been an active member of the SOI, Owls Club, West Mayfield Vets and the American Legion. He enjoyed coaching basketball. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served his country during WWII on the USS Missouri.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark J. Ursida; a sister, Frances Phillips; brothers, Larry and Dominick Ursida and a grandson, Jeremy Teramoto Ursida.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Angela Marie (Julian) Ursida. He was the father of Francis J. Ursida, Gary M. Ursida, David J. Ursida and Beth Ann Wasielewski, as well as his daughter-in-law, Robin K. Ursida and son –in-law, Richard Wasielewski, Jr.; grandchildren, Amy Ursida Papa, Mark, Tyler, Malia and Angelo Ursida, Max and Lena Wasielewski and Tonia Hines; great grandchildren, Ethan and Dylan Papa and Austin and Madison Hines.

Friends and family will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill and Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where prayers will be recited Sat. at 9:20 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Philomena Parish, with Father James Farnan as celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chippewa Twp.
Full military honors will be conducted Sat. at 11:20 a.m. at the cemetery by the Veteran Honor Guard.
