  Frank “Pete” W. Dillan, Jr., 80 of Columbiana, died Saturday, May 9, 2009 in the Cleveland Clinic.
   Born March 26, 1929 in Chippewa Township, he was the son of the late Frank W. Sr. and Sylvia Casey Dillan.  He had retired from the former Babcock & Wilcox Tubular Products Company in 1986 from the No. 2 Hot Mill.  He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Parish and the 55+ Club at the parish.  He served from 1950 until 1954 in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and he also served in the U. S. Air Force Reserves.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Harry W. Dillan a sister Darlene Douglas, and a grandson, Ben Dillan in 1998.
    He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joann Gotthardt, a daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Dean Helmuth, Enon Valley, a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Brenda Dillan, Columbiana, a daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and George Sewak, Murfreesboro, TN, five grandchildren,  Jessie Helmuth, Amanda Webber and her husband Joel, Nate Dillan, Justin Sewak, and Megan Sewak, two great-grandchildren, Makayla Sodergren and Colton Webber, and a brother and sister-in-law, William G. and Agnes Dillan, Big Beaver.
   Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, 3801-4th Ave. College Hill, Beaver Falls, where prayers will be recited at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father William Schwartz as celebrant.
   Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Big Beaver.
     Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to the Beaver County Cancer and Heart Association, 3582 Brodhead Road, Suite 104, Monaca, PA 15061. 
   The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at the cemetery on Wednesday at 11 a.m. to conduct full military rites.
