George Jacob Kemerer, Jr., 94, of Chippewa Towship, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007 in the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in South Beaver Township.

Born Oct. 23, 1913 in Jeannette, he was the son of the late George J. Sr. and Margaret Susan Bush Kemerer.  He was a charter member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Chippewa Township.  He had retired from the Westinghouse Electric Company in Vanport in October of 1978 where he had been a storeroom attendent.  He was also a  former member of the Chippewa Township Police Auxiliary.

He was preceded in death by his wife of  62 years Martha Lucinda Frye Kemerer Oct. 2, 1999. Also preceding him in death were two sisters, Delores Herman and Irene Colburn, and a step-brother Cyrus Kemerer.

He is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law,  Arthur W. Kemerer, Baden, Paul R. and Lolly Kemerer, Wooster, Oh, Dennis A. Kemerer, Chippewa Township, two granddaughters and their spouses,  Tracey and Rick Mineo, Portersville, Susan and Willie Murray, South Beaver Township, four great-grandchildren, Anthony and Jocelyn Mineo, Portersville, Kayla and Makiya Murray, South Beaver Township, two sisters, Helen RuBright, Jacksonville, FL,  Betty Schrosk, Jeannette, a brother and sister-in-law,  Don and June Kemerer, Latrobe, a brother-in-law William Frey, Jr., Jeannette, a very special niece Debbie Kemerer, Jeannetten and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com.,  3801-4th Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls.  Mr. Kemerer will lie in state on Tuesday, Dec. 18th, 2007 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. in the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 2679 Darlington Road, Chippewa Township with his pastor, Rev. John Pingel officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Beaver Falls Mausleum, Chippewa Township.
