Gladys A. Freed, 77, of Big Beaver, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, in the Grove City Medical Center.
Born Nov. 30, 1930, on College Hill in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late James L. and Mildred Rhodes Fenchel. She was a member of the College Hill United Methodist Church, Beaver Falls. She had been a secretary for 19 years at the Beaver County Airport working for the Community College of Beaver County.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Robert A. Freed, Big Beaver; three sons and daughters-in-law, Alan R. and Kim Freed, Chantilly, Va.; Donald R. and Lindy Freed, Adena, Ohio, and Thomas R. and Darla Freed, Stoneboro, Pa.; four grandchildren, Nathaniel Freed, Mrs. Dave (Sharon) King, Carrie Freed and Lindsay Freed; four great-grandchildren, and two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Norma Fenchel, Chippewa Township, and Donald and Ruth Fenchel, Big Beaver.
All arrangements were private as per Gladys' request.
There was a family visitation Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls. Her minister, Pastor Greg Cox, officiated.
Interment took place in Grandview Cemetery.
