Harold F. “Hank” McClain Sr., 91, of College Hill, died Wednesday,

Dec. 2, 2009 in the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, South Beaver Township.   

Born Sept. 16, 1918 on College Hill, he was the son of the late Wallace Dean McClain and Nellie Gregg McClain.  He was a member of the College Hill Presbyterian Church and had retired from Kaufmann’s Department Store where he had been a delivery driver from 1938 until 1976.  He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army and had been stationed in Italy and Africa.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Joshua A. McClain, four brothers and three sisters.

    He is survived by his wife of 60 years Martha Wetzel McClain, a son and daughter-in-law, Hal and Nettie McClain, a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and John Corbin, all of South Beaver Township, his five grandchildren and their spouses, Christina and Dannon Woodward, Samantha and Nick Farioli, Jamie Corbin, Sean McClain, Sean McClain, Sara McClain, and two great-grandsons, Talan Woodward and Logan Farioli.

      Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill and Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com.,  3801-4th Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Dennis D. Burnett officiating.

    Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Big Beaver.

  The Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites at the cemetery on Saturday.
