Harriet E. Heaton, 95, a resident of Big Beaver for over 30 years, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, in the Providence Care Center.
Born Sept. 23, 1912, in Tidioute, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Claude and Blanche Robinson Day. She was a member of the Homewood United Methodist Church and had been employed as a sales clerk at G.C. Murphy 5 & 10.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Berry, in 1951; her second husband, Bartholomew Heaton, Sr.; an infant son, William Berry; a son, Andrew "Bud" Berry, Jr.; a brother, Leland Day, and a sister, Erma Enos.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Wayne Heaton, Big Beaver, a son and his fiancé, Claude "Skip" Berry and Joyce Tribe, Columbiana, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Hilda Berry, Chippewa Township, several grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
There was no public visitation. Private services were held for the family with the Rev. Gregory Cox, pastor of the College Hill United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment followed in Beaver Falls Cemetery, Chippewa Township.
