Harry Wayne Dillan, 75, of South Beaver Township, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008 in the Medical Center Beaver.
Born Dec. 29, 1932 in Big Beaver, he was the son of the late Frank W. Sr. and Sylvia Casey Dillan. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Army. He had retired from the Shipping Department of Standard Steel Specialty Company in West Mayfield and was a former member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Darlington. Harry was an avid gardener, woodworker, antiques, going to sales and flea markets, boating and being on his computer at home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Douglas.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gloria Van Kirk Dillan, a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Kelly Dillan, Midland, Michigan, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank W. Jr. and Joann Dillan, Columbiana, and William G. and Agnes Dillan, Big Beaver.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801-4th Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held on Wednesday at
11 a.m. with Rev. C.F. Hoffman officiating.
Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery, Big Beaver.
The Veterans Honor Guard will meet at the cemetery on Wednesday at 11:20 a.m. to conduct full military rites.
