Hazel M. Masson
Hazel was a lifelong member of the College Hill Presbyterian Church and she was the longest tenured member of the church. She had retired from Townsend Corporation in Fallston and had been a past Worthy Matron of the O.E.S. No. 124. A former member of the Happy Bunch Square Dancing group, Hazel loved to line dance at the Sons of Italy Club in New Brighton.
The family would like to thank her friends at the New Brighton S.O.I. and at the Beaver Falls Senior Center for their kindness and graciousness extended to her over the years. She loved to dance and socialize with her friends up until the age of 92.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Masson, in 1938; a grandson, Donald N. Masson; a brother, Charles Hoefling; three sisters, Ruth Yorns, Stella Odell, and Irene McCullough; a son-in-law, Ronald Smith, and a daughter-in-law, Elaine Masson.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jack and Carlene Masson, Eastvale, and Theodore Masson, New Brighton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jo Ann Smith, West Mayfield, and Patricia and Joseph Turconi, New Galilee; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Dean Masson, Lilburn, Ga.; Lisa Masson, Lakeworth, Fla.; Lynn A. Masson, Rivera Beach, Fla.; Ronald and Beth Smith, Patterson Township; Toni Dhayer, Beaver Falls; Michael Smith, Beaver Falls; George Masson, Beaver Falls; Joseph and Kim Turconi, Safety Harbor, Fla.; Teri Turconi, Mount Lebanon; Pam Turconi Jackson, San Diego, Calif., and James and Cindy Turconi, Chippewa Township; 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Swogger, Wampum.
Friends will be received today from 5 to 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Dennis D. Burnett officiating.
Interment will follow in Grove Cemetery, New Brighton.
