Jay “Jay Bob” R. Aiken, 53,  of Beaver Falls and formerly of Big Beaver Boro, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday October 26, 2010 in his home.

Born August 16, 1957 in New Brighton was the son of the late George D. & Sallie (Gillingham) Aiken.  He was a bartender at the Edgewater Inn, Beaver Falls.  Jay was a great listener, deep thinker, avid lover of nature, and a friend to all that know him.  Jay enjoyed time spent with friends at the river. His passions were throwing horseshoes and fishing.

He is survived by his Step-mother Lela Aiken, Beaver Falls; 13 siblings and their spouses, Tina & Michael Davis, Beaver Falls; Helene & Dinky Pletz, VA; Michael Aiken, GA; Janice & Glenn Campbell, Beaver Falls; Patti & Jeff Gordon, Beaver Falls; James & Annie Aiken, FL; Deborah & Jack Myers, Meadville; Nancy & Bill O’Connor, Beaver Falls; Pepper & Susan Jennings, Beaver; Sue Ann Kilgore, AZ; Kevin & Jody Jennings, Ellwood City; Scott & Barbara Jennings, Beaver Falls; and Kristy & Kirby Elliott, Hershey.  An aunt Fran Green, Beaver Falls and a uncle Paul Aiken, OR; and several nieces and nephews.

As per Jay’s request there will be no visitation.  A Memorial Service will be held Saturday October 30 at 2:00PM in the Homewood United Methodist Church, 127 First Street (off of Route 18)  Beaver Falls, PA 15010.  The Rev. Gary Hilton will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home for the family.
