James A. Boak, 85, of Beaver Falls, passed away Wed. Dec. 9, 2009 in the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, South Beaver Twp.
Born May 19, 1924 in Beaver Falls, a son of the late James McKee Boak and Charlotte Ann Powell Boak.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Beaver Falls, retired as a Bearing checker in the Hot Finish Dept. of the former Babcocks & Wilcox Tubular Products and was a United States Army Infantry veteran having served during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bebout Boak, South Beaver Twp.; a son and daughter-in-law, James A. Jr. and Rose Boak, Patterson Twp.; five grandchildren, Chris Miller, Beaver Falls, James Boak III, Las Vegas, NV, Kim Bissell, Beaver Falls, Joseph Boak, Bradenton, FL and eleven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tyna Boak Becze; two brothers, Samuel and John Boak; four sisters, Betty and Laura Boak, Clara Lawrence and Mary Montea.
Friends will be received Tues. from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave. College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be conducted Wed. at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dale Russo officiating.
Private entombment will be in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum.
The Veterans Honor Guard will conduct full military honors Wed. at 10:45 a.m. in the funeral home.
