James P. Capots, 78, of Canonsburg, formerly of Beaver Falls, died Saturday, October 4, 2008 in Allegheny General Hospital.
   Born Aug. 1, 1930 in Koppel, he was the son of the late James and Mary Jane Crangi Capots.  He had been a purchasing manager for the former Babcock & Wilcox Tubular Products Co. for over 30 years.  At the time of his retirement, he was the senior buyer for Calsonic Corporation of North American in Shelbyville, TN.  He was a member of St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church in Upper St. Clair.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict.  Jim was very dedicated to his family.
  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Velma Johnston Capots on Sept. 14, 2004, and a brother Patrick Michael Capots.
      He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Eric and Erin Capots, Big Beaver, two daughters and a son-in-law, Polly Capots, Canonsburg,
Jackie and Greg Hoenie, Murfreesboro, TN, three grandchildren Alex Hoenie, Elias Johnson, and Sarah Hoenie, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gerry and Anthony Codespote, College Hill, and Theresa and Thomas Zinkham, Harmony.
       Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com.,  3801-4th Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls,  where prayers will be recited on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Philomena Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Steve Kresak, Parochial Vicar of St. Louise de Marillac as celebrant.
           Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Chippewa Township.
           The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at the cemetery at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday to conduct military rites.
