John R. “Jack” Amon, 74, of South Beaver Township, died Sunday, August 15, 2010 in Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born January 8, 1936 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late John F. and Irene Rutter Amon. He was a member of the College United Methodist Church and had retired from the Pennsylvania State Liquor Store in Beaver Falls with over 20 years of service. He was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed repairing various machinery. He had repaired washers, dryers, and had previously owned his own automotive repair shop in Chippewa Township called Amon’s Auto Repair. He was an excellent photographer and enjoyed going to flea markets.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Diana Richards and his former wife Donna Amon.
He is survived by a son David Amon, New Castle, a daughter and son-in-law, Lueann and Dan Capo, Patterson Township, five grandchildren, and a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Patty Amon, Youngsville, PA.
There will no public visitation.
A committal service will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 1 p.m. in the Beaver Falls Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, 2045 Darlington Road, Chippewa Township, with his pastor, Rev. Gregory Cox officiating.
Interment will follow in the Beaver Falls Cemetery.
