John H. Eichler, Sr. 79, of East Palestine, OH and formerly of Big Beaver Boro. Died Saturday October 25, 2008 in the Medical Center Beaver.

Born April 26, 1929 in West Aliquippa, was the son of the late Thomas W. & Elizabeth Eichler,  he retired for Babcock & Wilcox Tubular Products, cold draw department  after 38 years of service.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Doris ( Powell) Eichler, two sons and a daughter-in-law, John Eichler, Jr.  Wampum, Ronald & Sally Eichler, Negley, OH; four daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth & Richard Proctor, Wisconsin; Kathy & Joe White, Homewood; Ellen & Stan Miller, FL and Kim & Robert Dunnigan, VA.  Fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, and a sister Violet Hohl, Ellwood City; two step-brothers Ted & Lee Eichler, Beaver Falls; four step-sisters Arlene Day, IL; Flo Moore, Mary Duham, and Betty Dabny, all of Beaver Falls.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Eichler and a sister Goldie Egenlauf.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 5 PM until time of service at 8 PM in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801-4th Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls.  With Pastor Paul Poole officiating.
