Joyce Hostetler Moore, 75, of New Brighton, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 27, 2008.

  Born Feb. 21, 1933 in Greensburg, PA,  she was the daughter of the late William and Marie Sanner Martz.  She  had resided in Scottdale, PA, before she came  to Beaver County in 1949.  She had been employed for Pappan’s  Family Restaurants for 25 years  before her retirement in 1989 and had also been the proprietor of her  own restaurant in Beaver Falls called the Stop n’ Eat. She has a past member and officer of several organizations, the women’s auxiliary to the Vanport Volunteer Fire Department, auxiliary to the North Sewickley Township Volunteer Fire Department, Vanport PTA, and was one of the original members of the Beaver Assembly of God.

   Many people who loved and adopted her called her “mom”, “Joycie”, and “grandma Joyce”.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, John L. Moore in 1986, and two brothers, Ed Burkhart and Ernie Sanner, step-son, Rex Moore and step daughter, JoAnne Moore.

  She is survived by her first husband Jim Hostetler, Chippewa Township, two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Thomas Green, Jennifer  and Larry Hill, all of New Brighton, two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Ellie Hostetler, Rochester, Pastor Jay and Donna Hostetler, Holland, Mich,  two step sons and spouses,  John and Florence Moore, Fred and Cathi Moore, all of Beaver Falls, her grandchildren, Starr, James, Aaron, Todd, Melissa, Martha, great-grandchildren, Cody, Dallas “Charlie”,  Michaela, Gwen, Anthony, Cheyenne, Eric, Michael, Kayleen, Braden, Carter, Joshua, Charles, Amanda, Jessica, one great-great-granddaughter, Chloe Rayne Dixon, and several nieces and nephews.

           Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801-4th Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls,  where a service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Paul D. Poole officiating.

  Interment to follow in Beaver Cemetery.
