Julia M. George, 96, of Beaver Falls, formerly of Massachusetts, died on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, in the Providence Health Care Center.

Born July 3, 1911, in Norwood, Mass., a daughter of the late Abraham and Maria Abdulla Mike. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, New Brighton, had been a volunteer for the Red Cross during World War II and most recently had been a volunteer at The Medical Center, Beaver.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Abraham George, in 1943; a son, Edward George, in 1986; a son-in-law, Richard Skillinger, and two sisters, Rose Coussa and Effie Kando.

She is survived by a daughter, Marie Skillinger, Thurmont, Md.; a daughter-in-law, Darlene George, Chippewa Township; five grandchildren and their spouses, Nancy Motherway, Lu Anne Skillinger, Ted and Dianne George, Jon and Vicky George, Cindy and Don Kester; five great-grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer George, Danny, Maggie and Tim Motherway.



Friends will be received Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of prayers at 10:30 a.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Christ Episcopal Church, 1217 3rd Ave., New Brighton, with the Rev. Dr. Langdon Pegram officiating.

Interment will follow in Beaver Falls Cemetery, Chippewa Township.
