Katherine “Kate” V. Miller, 95, of White Twp., passed away Sat. Oct. 31, 2009 at her home.

    Born Sept. 23, 1914 in Beaver Falls was a daughter of the late Philip and Amelia (Putas) Vavro. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, the Beaver County Fire Dept. Auxiliary, White Twp. Fire Dept. Auxiliary, Beaver Falls American Legion Post #261 Auxiliary and the Ukranian Club in Aliquippa. She was an employee of the former Ing-Rich Manufacturing Co. during the 40’s later during the 60’s she was a  sales person for the former Fashion Hosiery, both of Beaver Falls.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Blair R. Miller in 1984; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Eleanor Vavro, infant brother, Philip, brother-in-law, Rufus Hofelt.                            .

    She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Porter, White Twp; a sister, Emillie Hofelt, Canton,OH; two grandchildren and their spouses, Tracy Lynn and Robert Landsbach, Beaver Falls and William and Laurie Hill, West Mayfield; and five great grandchildren, Devin, Logan, Tyler, Lindsay and Olivia. 

    Friends will be received Tues. from 1 p.m. till time of Blessing Service at  3 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, her nephew Father Rufus Hoflet will officiate.
