Lila L. “Watterson” Laber, 91, of Danbury, CT., formerly of Darlington, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 in her home after two years with Alzheimer’s.
    Born Oct. 31, 1919 in Darlington, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Maude McQuaid Watterson.  Lila was a 25 year resident of Heritage Village in Southbury, CT, where she was an active and accomplished pianist for many musical programs, fashion shows, and other events at Heritage Village. She moved to the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Danbury in March of 2010.  She was a graduate of Geneva College.  Prior to moving to Heritage Village she had resided with her family in Darlington, Canfield, OH, Hamburg, NY, Hopkins, MN, Hinsdale, IL, Old Greenwich, Ct, and Arlington, MA.
             In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Stanton Laber.
         She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert K. and Donna D. Laber, Danbury, CT, her granddaughter and husband Sara and Stephen Young, and two great-grandchildren Nicholas and Lucas Young, all of Washington, D.C.
          There will be no public visitation.
            There will be a graveside service on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Beaver Falls Cemetery, 2045 Darlington Road, Chippewa Township, 15010 with Rev. Bruce Backensto.  Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside committal service on Thursday.
