Lonnie William “ Sluggo” Williford, Sr. 71, of Beaver Falls, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 18, 2009.

Born January 17, 1938 in Beaver Falls was the son of the late Lonnie William, Sr. & Amanda ( Winbourne) Williford.  He was a US Army veteran and  a life long painter and contractor. He was a member of The Father’s House, Rochester and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Lois ( Walden) Williford, five children & their spouses , Sheree & Rocky Washington, Beaver Falls; Lorri & Rodney Slappy, Beaver Falls;  Lonnie Williford, Jr III, Beaver Falls,  Kelly Williford, Beaver Falls, and Holly McKay, New Brighton, his beloved 11 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren; a sister & brother-in-law, Carol & Lee Leftwich, NJ;  a sister-in-law Christena Williford, Beaver Falls; brother-in-law, David Jackson, Urban, OH, devoted nephew Jeremy “BB” Moye, Beaver Falls and a host of nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers William “Chilly”, Vanley, and Robert “Slick” Williford; and two sisters Mildred Jackson & LaVerne Moye.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8PM in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801-4th Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in Second Baptist Church, 2322 10th Ave, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.  With his Pastor W. Howard Burton, officiating.

Interment will follow in Beaver Falls Cemetery, Chippewa Township.

Members of the Veterans Honor Guard will meet at 11:40AM the cemetery to provide full military honors.
