Marian Menges Ritter, 88, of Safety Harbor, Florida, formerly of Chippewa Township, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008 in the Westchester Gardens Nursing Home, Safety Harbor, where she had been a patient since Dec. 22, 2007.
Born Marian E. Anderegg on Nov. 5, 1919,  she had lived in Chippewa Township for over 30 years before moving to Florida in 1985.  She was a former cashier at Loblaws Super Market and had been a secretary at Geneva College.  She had been a member of the Ladies Guild at the former St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Beaver Falls and after the church closed she became a member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church. She also belonged to several bowling leagues.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Frank P. Menges in July of 1994 and a sister Georgia Gibson in 1964.
She is survived by her husband of eleven years Clarence “Bud” Ritter, two sons and daughters-in-law, David P. and Susan Menges, North Point, FL, Gary W.and DebiMenges, Mars, PA, a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl L.and Kenny Ferrell, Concord, OH, five grandchildren, David Menges, Frank Menges, Brian Menges, Jennifer Menges, and Matthew Menges, eight great-grandchildren, and a brother and sister-in-law Fred and Sandy Anderegg, Las Vegas, NV.
Friends and family are invited to a committal service on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Beaver Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel.  The Rev. Rodney E. Smith, pastor of the Chippewa United Methodist Church will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Beaver Cemetery.
