Marilyn E. Beres
Marilyn E. Beres, 59, of Big Beaver, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at her residence. Born March 29, 1948, in New Brighton, a daughter of the late Ben and Margaret Wassil Beres, she was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. She was a 1966 graduate of Big Beaver Falls Area High School and received a B.S. in Biology from Geneva College in 1971. Marilyn had been previously employed as a research technician at Carnegie-Mellon University, was co-owner of the Craft Cottage, sales clerk at the former Reeder's Stationery and Book Store in Beaver Falls, sales person in small appliances and film developing department of K-Mart in Chippewa Township and was employed by C&S Sports Factory, Center Township. She also taught cake decorating classes at the Community College of Beaver County, was a member of The Frostettes and had taken paralegal courses at CCBC.
She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, John J. and Kathryn Beres, Chapel Hill, N.C.; two nieces and their husbands, Beth and David Edgerton, Rocky Mountain, N.C., and Carol and Michael Hartzell, Canton, Ohio, and a great-nephew, Benjamin Lee Edgerton.
Friends will be received Monday from 5 p.m. until time of service at 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hilland kunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, with her pastor, Dr. Paul Holland, officiating.
Private interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Big Beaver.
