Martha “Lanning” Garber, 87, of North Palm Beach, Florida, formerly of Patterson Township, passed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008 in Florida.
Born May 17, 1921 in Patterson Township, she was the daughter of the late John Lanning and the late Pearle Leiper Lanning Hammerle. She attended the Church of the Nazarene in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She had been a school bus driver for King’s Christian Academy and had also delivered flowers in Florida before her retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers Jack, Paul, and Glenn Lanning, and three sisters, Katherine Moorhead, Vera Coleman, and Madelyn Warrick.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Daniel and Reeta Garber, Albuquerque, New Mexico, a daughter Glee Inglett, Stewart, FL,
Six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, a sister Betsy Brown, Tucson, AZ, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Stuart Hammerle, Beaver Falls, and Bruce and Rita Hammerle, Patterson Township.
A memorial service will be held in Palm Beach Gardens at a later date.
There will be a graveside service on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Beaver Falls Cemetery with Rev. David Howells, pastor of The Church of the Living Christ in Bridgewater officiating.
