Mary K. Smith

Mary K. Smith, 66, of Chippewa Township, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, in The Medical Center, Beaver.


Born Nov. 25, 1940, in Rochester, she was a daughter of the late David and Dixie Diddle Buckenheimer. She had been a former member of the auxiliary to the Chippewa Township Police Department and a past president of the Blackhawk Football Mothers. She had also been employed as a cashier at the Chippewa Giant Eagle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Verner R. Smith, in 1991.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, David and Frances Smith, Chippewa Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Randy Sabo, East Palestine, Ohio; a granddaughter, Chelsea Sabo, East Palestine; a sister, Margaret Nicol, Brighton Township; eight nieces and nephews, Raymond Nicol, Dixie Hagy, Donald Nicol, Debbie Huntington, Jeff Carroll, Colleen Smith, Gayle Smith and Hallie Smith, and her beloved dog, Molly.

A funeral service will be held Friday, March 2, 2007, at noon in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hilland kunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, with the Rev. Donald Aull, pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church of East Palestine, officiating.

Private interment will follow in Beaver Falls Cemetery, Chippewa Township.
