Matthew James Osman

Matthew James Osman, 26, of Seattle, Washington, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007 of a grand mal seizure.
Born Sept. 9, 1980, in Beaver, he was the son of Laura D. Schrecengost Osman of College Hill, and the late William J. Osman who died on Jan. 11, 2002. Matthew had been employed in the state of Washington as a ceramic tile installer. He was a member of St. Philomena Roman Catholic Church, had attended St. Philomena School from first grade through eighth grade. Matthew had been an altar server, and had played on St. Philomena School’s basketball team. He had belonged to Cub Scout Pack No. 481 on College Hill, had played soccer, and was on Enelow Shoes Little League Team. Matthew graduated from the Big Beaver Falls Area High School in 1998 and had attended the Beaver County Community College where he studied criminal justice.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, William M. and Violet Sackman Osman and Danielle Schrecengost.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Christopher and Ann Marie Osman, Kent, Washington, their children, Dexann “Kiwana” James, Tiwan “Renardo” Shelton, and Brandon Micheal Osman, all of Kent, Washington, his grandfather Vernon Charles Schrecengost, Patterson Heights, three uncles and an aunt, James P. and Elizabeth Osman, Los Angeles, CA, Robert T. Osman, San Diego, CA, Robert E. Schrecengost, McKees Rocks, cousins, Adam and Danielle Schrecengost, and Tracy Lynn Osman.
There will be a memorial mass held in St. Philomena Roman Catholic Church on Friday, April 20, 2007 at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Fathers David E.F. Scharf and Steven M. Palsa as celebrants.
Private interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Chippewa Township
