Joyce Elizabeth Nesmith, 63, of White Township, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 14, 2012 in the Providence Care Center.
Born Jan. 17, 1949 in Leesburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Alex H. Nesmith, Sr. and the late Lettie Ruth Scott Nesmith.  She was a very dedicated and active member of the Second Baptist Church in Beaver Falls where she had been a trustee, on the usher board, president of the kitchen committee, Willing Workers, Singles Ministry, and the senior choir.  She had graduated from the Garfield Business Institute and had retired from Anchor-Hocking in Monaca.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Edward Lewis, and a sister Delores Moore.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Duayne and Melissa Nesmith, Midland, Darrin  and Nikki Nesmith, Beaver Falls, five grandchildren, Corey and Cayla Nesmith, Donavan McFrazier, Darius and D’Mitri Nesmith, two great-grandchildren, Dae’Lyn and Desean McFrazier, five brothers, Alex Nesmith, Jr.,  Larry (Renee) Nesmith, Kevin and Geneva Nesmith, Christopher Ellis, Eric and Anita Nesmith, three sisters, Dorothy and Jimmy Curry, Patricia and Paul Keith, and Betty Nesmith, her loving and devoted friends, Linda Petcovic, Charlene Crawford, and Susan Smith, her three God-children, Jonathan Powell, Aaron and Bria Harris, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on  Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Second Baptist Church, 24th St. and 9th Ave., Beaver Falls, where the service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with her pastor, Rev. Bernard Tench officiating.
Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery, Wampum.
