Phyllis Ann Verner, 84, of West Mayfield, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008
in the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born May 13, 1924 in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Autilia Bamonte Capo. She was a member of St. Philomena Roman Catholic Church and a member of The Christian Mother’s. She had been employed at the Standard Horsenail Company for 18 years and had also been employed for several years in the Blackhawk School District in the cafeteria. Phyllis had been a 1942 graduate of the New Brighton High School and was active in their class reunion committee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers Frank, Anthony, Dominic and Millie Capo, and two sisters Mary Krovich and Rose Farzo.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years Samuel Verner, a daughter and son-in-law Karen and Robert Rimbey, Chippewa Township, her only grandson Ryan Rimbey whom she loved very much, Chippewa Township, and a sister Helen Stevens, Lake City, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com. 3801-4th Ave.,College Hill, Beaver Falls, where prayers will be recited on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Philomena Church with Rev. Father Steven M. Palsa as celebrant.
Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum, Daugherty Township.
