Ralph E. Schoaf, 85, of the Providence Care Center, formerly of South Beaver Township, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008 in the Medical Center Beaver.
Born Nov. 24, 1922 in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Leander C. and Dora Groscost Schoaf. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army and had retired from Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Vanport for 37 years where he had been an electrician. Ralph was also an amateur photographer.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant daughter Melissa Jean Schoaf, a brother James Schoaf, and two sisters Clara Hartling and Gwen Davis.
He is survived by his wife Jane Tait Schoaf, three daughters and three sons-in-law, Rebecca and Frederick Hood, Industry, Lisa and Gary Fryer, Enon Valley, Cynthia and Larry Clendennen, South Beaver Township, six grandchildren and their spouses, Edwin James Hood, Clayton Jared Hood, Emily and Craig Miller, Todd Fryer, Nathan and Nicole Clendennen, and Drew Clendennen.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801-4th Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Dr. Daniel Stinson officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.
The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at the cemetery at 11:45 a.m. to conduct full military rites.
