Rebecca "Betty" J. Caler, 83, of Patterson Township, died Saturday, June 16, 2007, in The Medical Center, Beaver. Born Sept. 26, 1923, in Wampum, a daughter of the late Carl V. Sr. and Grace Lutz Hairhoger, she had been employed at the former Isaly's in Wampum, Johnny's Restaurant in Beaver Falls and the Big Beaver Truck Stop.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Reed and May Hall, and two brothers, Carl V. Jr. "Bud" Hairhoger and Gene Hairhoger, and an infant granddaughter, Lynn Ann Caler.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sally Caler, and Ronald and Gloria Caler; a daughter, Sherry Wagner; eight grandchildren, Darcy Gilmore, Mike Caler, Jeff Caler, Dawn Wagner, Jarrett Wagner, James August and his wife, Lori, Aaron August and his fiancée, Annie Smith, and Ryan Johngrass, nine great-grandchildren, Lauren Gilmore, Ashley Caler, Samantha Gilmore, Amanda Gilmore, Tiffany Caler, Zachariah Caler, Paige Caler, Nathan August and Lindsay August; a sister, Alice May Econrode, and a brother, Thomas Hairhoger.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hilland kunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum, Daugherty Township.
