Richard “Dick” K. Javens, 64 of Beaver Falls, died Tuesday September 14, 2010 in the ER Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle.

Born October 26, 1945 in Eastvale, was the son of the late Harvey F. & Dorthea E. ( Parlington) Javens.  He was a US Navy Veteran, a member of the Construction & General Labor Union Local #833, member of the West Mayfield Vets, Beaver Falls S.O.I, Beaver County Men’s Pool League, American Pool Players Association, and was an avid pool player.

He is survived by his wife Sarah ( Marshall) Javens, a son Richard A. Javens, Beaver Falls;  a daughter and son-in-law, Shelly & Douglas Beuford, Beaver Falls; a daughter Anna Mabin, Beaver Falls; a step-son and his wife Mark & Bridget Leksell,  New Brighton and a step-daughter Lennis Lazar, New Castle.  Ten Grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one step-grandchild. Two brothers and a sister-in-law Thomas Javens, Eastvale; and Sonny & Connie ( Tuccinard) Javens, Monaca; and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sister Dorthea May Johnston, and Beverly “Sis” Goode and a brother Eugene Javens.

Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 & 7-9PM in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801-4th Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls where a service will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM with Major Richard Lyle, of the Beaver Falls Salvation Army.

Members of the Veteran’s Honor Guard will meet at the funeral home Saturday at 10:45AM to provide military honors.

Memorial contributions may be made if desired to the Beaver County Cancer & Heart Association, 3582 Brodhead Road # 201, Monaca, PA 15061-3116.

Following the services Saturday a luncheon will be held at the Beaver Falls S.O.I.
