Richard L. “Tree” McCullough, 71, of Chippewa Twp, died Thursday August 26, 2010 in the Heritage Valley Beaver, ER.
Born January 28, 1939 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late David Leroy & Ethel (Marsh) McCullough. He was a member of the College Hill United Methodist Church. He served in the US Navy from 1956 – 1959. He was employed by the former Babcock & Wilcox Tubular Products from 1959-1986 and retired from Koppel Steel after 10 years of service. He was a member of the Blackhawk Syndicate Golf League, Sunday PNA Golf League and was the first winner of the Beaver County Times Senior Golf Championship.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Peggy (Miller) McCullough; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary K. & Jim Brown, Patterson Twp.; a son David E. “ Branch” McCullough & Tracy Holbrook, Beaver Falls; four grandchildren Valerie Schutte and her husband Blake; Josh McCullough; Richard Brown; and Patty Brown; and a sister-in-law, Lois Wood Tate, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Helen Krzemmienski.
Friends will be received Sunday from 12-4 & 6-8PM at the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801-4th Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be conducted Monday at 11:00Am with his pastor Rev. Greg Cox officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Cemetery, Rochester, PA.
Members of the Veteran’s Honor Guard will meet at the Cemetery at 11:00AM to provide military honors.
