Ronald C. Whitlatch, 81, of Chippewa Township, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009.
Born Aug. 6, 1927 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Claire Whitlatch and Mildred Javens Yoos. He had retired as an insurance adjuster for the Pennsylvania Manufacturers Insurance Association. He was a graduate of Geneva College and during World War II he served his country in the Merchant Marines. He was a member of the College Hill Presbyterian Church where he had served as a trustee and was a former member of the choir. He was also a former member of the Beaver Falls Owls Club.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Evelyn C. Spencer Whitlatch, a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Tony Blaner, Addison, PA, two grandchildren, David Ellefson and his fiancée Heidi Hunt, Bellevue, PA, Crystal Ellefson, Beaver Falls, a great-grandson, Vincent Mali, Beaver Falls, and a sister Maureen Mangelli, Beaver Falls.
Friends will be received today from 6 until 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801-4th Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with his pastor, the Rev. Dennis D. Burnett officiating.
Private interment in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.
