Saul Berman, 87, of Brighton Township, formerly of Massachusetts, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008 in Friendship Ridge.
Born April 13, 1921 in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Morris and Clara Guttenberg Berman. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater of operation. Saul had a lifelong career the clothing manufacturing industry. He was a member of the former Agudath Achim Congregation of the Beaver Valley United Jewish Community.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sylvia D. Katz Berman, his daughter Marcia Law, a brother Benjamin Berman and a sister Dorothy Finkelstein.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Barry and Ellen Berman, Henderson, Nevada, a son-in-law, Edward Law, Brighton Township, four granddaughters and their spouses, Wendy Knightley-Smith and her husband Michael, Henderson, NV, Leslie Castleberry and her husband Thomas, Las Vegas, NV, Charlotte Iley and her husband Adrian, Austin, TX, Sheryl and her husband Charles Klein III, Verona, VA, great-grandchildren, Emma Knightley, Carter and Claire Castleberry, Jordan and Ava Klein, and Skye and Landon Iley.
Friends will be received on Sunday from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801-4th Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, with Rabbi Martin Shorr officiating.
Interment to follow in Agudath Achim Cemetery, Patterson Township.
