Katherine Killian Shepard, 99, of White Township, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 in Cambridge Village.

Born October 23, 1912 in Springdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Horning Killian.   She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Beaver Falls where she had served as a deacon.  She had retired from the Aetna Life Insurance Company in Pittsburgh where she was the office manager.  She had volunteered for many years at Meals on Wheels on College Hill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Shepard in 1988, her son C. Dennis Shepard in 2010, a sister Regina Baxter, and three brothers, John, Edward, and Paul Killian.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Dan Laderer, Beaver Falls, a daughter-in-law, Johanna “Jay” Shepard, North Sewickley Township, five grandchildren and their spouses, Beth Laderer, Alexandria, VA, Michael and Theresa Laderer, Big Beaver, Julia “Julie” Shepard, Pittsburgh, Jennifer and Jason Mosesso, Imperial, Paul Shepard, North Sewickley Township, seven great-grandchildren, Annette Laderer, Benjamin Laderer, Matthew Laderer, Mark Laderer, Emilie Shepard, and Sara and Ashley Mosesso.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801-4th Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls.  The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, 11th Street and 8th Avenue, Beaver Falls, with her pastor, the Rev. Chris Noyes officiating.
