Sherman L. Kirkland Jr., 45, of Beaver Falls, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, in his home.

Born Dec. 29, 1961, in Beaver Falls, he was the son of Sherman L. Sr., and Betty Morlan Kirkland, of Beaver Falls. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church, in Beaver Falls, and had served in the U.S. Navy from 1981 until 1985.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Leeanna Kirkland, Beaver Falls; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Teena and Richard Robinson, White Township, and Lonette and Todd Allen, College Hill; five nieces and nephews, Cierra, Kayden, Bryce, Lonnette, and Aliyah, and a host of cousins.

Friends will be received on Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the Second Baptist Church, 22nd Street and 9th Avenue, Beaver Falls, with his pastor, the Rev. Bernard Tench, officiating.

Interment will follow in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Washington County.
