Virginia Javens, 73, of Chippewa Twp. passed away Sat. March 27, 2010, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born April 16, 1936, in New Galilee, she was a daughter of the late Harry B. Freed and Maxine (Thompson) Freed Srmack. She was a 1954 graduate of Beaver Falls High School, a secretary of the former News Tribune in Beaver Falls during the 50’s and a member of First Baptist Church, Beaver Falls. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and making a home for her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Roger L. Javens, Chippewa Twp.; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger Allen and Jennifer Javens, Houston, TX; a son-in-law, Patrick Stuckwish, Beaver Falls; two grandsons, Guy Robbins and his wife, Trea, Spring, TX and Brad Robbins, Chippewa Twp.; a great granddaughter, Taylor Robbins; a brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Neda Freed, South Beaver Twp.; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and James Greene, South Beaver Twp.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, Frank Srmack; two daughters, Linda (Javens) Robbins, 2006 and Cynthia K. (Javens) Stuckwish, 2007 and a brother, Fred Freed.
Friends will be received Thurs. from 6 to 8 p.m. and Fri. from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME,  www.hillandkunselman.com   , 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. her pastor, Rev. Steve Brotzman will officiate.
Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Cemetery, Daugherty Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions maybe made in memory of Virginia Javens to the First Baptist Church, 616-17th Street, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
