Warren C. Tutwiler, 86, of Beaver, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, in the Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls. Born March 5, 1921, in Harrisonburg, Va., he was a son of the late James M. and Hattie Chapman Tutwiler. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Rochester. Before his retirement, he had been the plant superintendent of the power plant for St. Joe Lead (Horsehead Industries) in Potter Township. Warren had been active in the Foreman's Club at the St. Joe Lead Company. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force as a staff sergeant during World War II. Warren loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and camper.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Shultz Tutwiler, in 2000, and three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James P. and Barbara Tutwiler, Beaver Falls, and William E. and Joyce Tutwiler, Beaver Falls; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church, Vermont and Jefferson Streets, Rochester, with Dr. Frank Garlathy, his pastor, officiating.
Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum, Daugherty Township.

The Beaver County Special Unit will conduct full military rites at the cemetery on Saturday at 11:40 a.m.
