Wauneta R. Parkhill Warrick, 83, of Elmcroft of Chippewa, died Sunday, October 31, 2010 in Heritage Valley Beaver.
      Born April 5, 1927 in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Lusk Parkhill, Sr. and the late Floy Smith Parkhill.  She was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School and had been employed at the former McDanel Refractory and had retired from Westinghouse Corporation in Beaver.  She was a member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church where she often requested her favorite hymn “Standing on the Promises” to be sung at Saturday Night worship services.
   Wauneta enjoyed traveling and had taken vacations to Hawaii, Jamaica, and Aruba.  She was affectionately known as the Blackhawk Cougars # 1 Fan during the 1990’s as she cheered the football, basketball, and baseball teams to victory.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Duane “Buzz” Warrick in 1964, three brothers, William, James, and Larry, a sister-in-law Virginia Parkhill, and two nieces Virginia Haney and Anna Depman.
     She is survived by a devoted nephew and niece Kent and Marcia Parkhill, Chippewa Township, a loving sister-in-law, Jennie Parkhill, New Brighton, great nephews and great nieces and their children whom she dearly loved and enjoyed, Jason and Angie Parkhill, Tristan, and Jennie, Waterville, Maine, Brett and Trish Parkhill, Carson and Reese, Gibsonia, PA, and Brooke and Adam Graff, Chippewa Township.
      Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 5 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801-4th Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, with Dr. Daniel A. Stinson officiating.
       Private interment will be in the Beaver Cemetery.
     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chippewa United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 2545 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 or to the Beaver County Humane Society, P.O. Box 63, Monaca, PA 15061 where Wauneta adopted many dogs in her lifetime.
