Carmen Natalia Huber, 37, of Patterson Township, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 in Good Samaritan Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born January 1, 1982 in Lima, Peru, she is the daughter of Mario Rios and Carmen Castro Rios of Lima Peru. She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Parish in Chippewa Township. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Slippery Rock University. She had been employed as a nurse at Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community in Cranberry Township.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Ryan M. Huber, two sons, Matias Huber and Lucas Huber, all of Patterson Township, a brother, Andre Rios and a sister, Maya Rios, both in Peru, her father-in-law and step mother-in-law, Jeff and Tracy Huber, Erie, Pennsylvania, her mother-in-law and step father-in-law, Miriam and Ed Cortese Unity Township, Ohio.
As per her wishes, there will be no public visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 10 a.m. in St. Monica Parish, 116 Thorndale Drive, Chippewa Township, with Father Kim Schreck as celebrant. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to Hillman Cancer Center, 5115 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Good Samaritan Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
