Dolores (Vanner) Gropp, 92, a lifelong resident of Beaver Falls passed away Friday, January 3, 2020.
She was lovingly dedicated to her family, friends, neighbors and her church, Chippewa United Methodist; where she taught Sunday School in the 1970’s and knitted prayer shawls. Dolores was a generous and kind-hearted person. She enjoyed sitting on her porch watching the birds and small animals and spending time with nature.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard E. Gropp in 2003 and a sister, Betty Lou Carothers.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sharon Gropp, Grove City, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Bob Songer, Sneads Ferry, NC; a grandson and his wife, Brian and Samantha Songer and their children, Bailey, Brennon and Brody all of Edinboro, PA ; a granddaughter, Lisa Cline and her children, Grey, Abby and Doug all of Greenville, SC; a nephew, Jay Carothers and two nieces, Cindy Carothers and Brenda O’Neal.
Friends will be received Saturday from 12:30 P.M. until the Memorial Service at 2:00 P.M. in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com , 3801 Fourth Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls, Pastor Allan K. Brooks will officiate.
Instead of flowers, a memorial fund was set up in her name at the Chippewa United Methodist Church, 2545 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
