Frances A. Lake

Frances A. Lake, 88, of Chippewa Township, died on Thursday, November 14, 2019 in Concordia at Villa St. Joseph in Baden.
Born August 8, 1931 in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine Pozar Carroll. She was a member of St. Monica Parish in Chippewa. Fran retired from the Blackhawk School District with 26 years of service where she had been a secretary at the Patterson Elementary School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lake in 2017, her son John A. Lake in 2010, two sisters, Catherine Pullinger, Marjorie Commella, and a brother, George Carroll.
She is survived by a son Michael “Wally” Lake and his partner Paul Matula, Ellwood City, a daughter-in-law, Julie Lake, South Carolina, and a sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Joe Novak, North Sewickley Township
As per her wishes, there will be no public visitation. A private Blessing service was held for the family with Rev. Father Kim J. Schreck officiating. Entombment was in the Beaver Cemetery Mausoleum.
The family would like to thank the nurses and the staff at Villa St. Joseph for all of their loving and devoted care.
