Charles T. Babel, Born July 22, 1935, in New Brighton, he had retired with over 20 years of service as a Supply Sergeant in the U.S. Army and served his country during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He had also been employed in the maintenance department of the Jameson Hospital, New Castle.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Milton and Sharlene Bable, and a sister, Armitha Babel.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joann Midori Babel; a sister, Edna Babel, New Castle, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no public visitation.

Private interment in Grandview Cemetery, Big Beaver.

Charles was a good man with a good heart. I lived with Charles and JoAnn in New Castle for 1 semester of high school. I will miss him.
