Robert E. Conley, Jr., 81, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.  He fought a long, two year courageous battle with brain cancer.  Bob was born March 27, 1937 in Pittsburgh.  He was the son of the late Robert E. and Mary Maggo Conley.  He was a member of St. Monica Parish, Chippewa.

Bob began his career as an Accountant after earning a business degree from Duquesne University, where he put himself through night school.  Upon graduation, he began his Accounting career at Koppers Co.  He then shifted his career to Ernst & Ernst, one of The Big 8 Accounting Firms.  Then, in 1970, Bob began a long career at Standard Steel Specialty Company starting out as Controller and finishing upon his death as President and CEO.  

Bob immensely enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Beaver Falls Turners Bowling League for over 40 years.  One of the other passions of Bob was fitness, and he was a committed weight lifter for 44 years. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Sisk Conley, and a sister, June Bathory Ferguson.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marie Andino Conley, five children and their spouses, Elizabeth (Stanko) and Michael Hannie, Canton, OH, Gregory and Margaret Conley, Gibsonia, PA, Janice and David Koenig, Peters Township, Jeffrey Conley, Delray Beach, FL, Kristen and Joseph Kolodychak, Beaver, 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

There will be a private visitation for the family only.  Anyone wishing to pay their respects may attend the Mass of Christian burial on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 10 A.M. in St. Monica Parish with Father Kim Schreck as celebrant.  Private entombment will follow at the Beaver Falls Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Rd., Cabot, PA  16023
or Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, 1645 W-8th St., Erie, PA  16505. 

The Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home,, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, was in charge of arrangements.

We are saddened by the passing of Uncle Bob. He is and will forever be remembered fondly. He is a big part of all the happy memories of my youth in that little duplex in Verona. May God bless you all. Mike and Amy Bathory

I’m so very sorry to hear of Uncle Bob’s passing. There are so many memories of Uncle Bob and all of you running through my mind. Each one of them are beautiful. Dear Marie and the Entire Conley family,
