Bonnie Lee Ney       

Formerly of Chippewa Township

Bonnie Lee Ney, 73, formerly of Chippewa Township, arrived into her Savior’s arms on Saturday, January 5, 2019.

Born October 8, 1945 in East Stroudsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Mary Christenson Garris.  Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a light and inspiration to all she met.  She loved serving Jesus Christ and as a teenager was involved in the Youth for Christ movement. She had been active in CUP Evangelical Presbyterian Church where she had served as an Elder, taught Sunday School, and vacation Bible School and she was currently was a member of the Pathway Church in Chippewa where she attended Sunday School.  She was also a lover of knowledge and had earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Geneva College and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Sweet and her former son-in-law, Paul Caratelli, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years and the love of her life, Earl H. Ney, two daughters and a son-in-law, Karen and Lawrence Cable, Monaca, Kristie Caratelli, South Beaver Township, two granddaughters, Alissa Rice and her husband David, Lauren Cable and her fiancé Matt Sentipal, three great-grandchildren, Cayden Rice, Josiah Rice, Ashton Smith, a brother, Ross Garris, MD, two sisters, Susan Garris, FL, Christine Olzyak, Ohio,  and six nieces and three nephews.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home,, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls.  There will be an additional visitation on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the celebration of her life at 11 a.m. in Pathway Church, 239 Braun Road, Chippewa Township with Pastor Matt Frey officiating.  Private burial in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville.

The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Home Hospice and also Good Samaritan Inpatient Hospice for all of their loving care and support for Bonnie.
